About the Certificate
The Certificate in GIS and Remote Sensing consists of 15-16 units. It prepares students in methods of remote data collection using GPS, drones and other spatial technologies, and in spatial data analysis, visualization, and interpretation for use in effective decision making. It enables students to be current in the fields of global positioning and remote sensing, in geographical information systems, and in spatial analysis with an emphasis on the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences but with application in other disciplines where spatial data is important.
