EESC 499 - Capstone Seminar in Earth, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences Units: 3 Critical, in-depth study of selected topics of current and classical research in the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences; topics not repeated in two-year interval. Emphasizes mastery of information literacy and writing skills to effectively communicate in the language of the discipline.
Prerequisites: Senior standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the literature on a selected topic in the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences.
- Synthesize and integrate information on aspects of physical sciences, law, policy, economics and social science, as applicable, in an assessment of the selected topic.
- Demonstrate the ability to gather, evaluate and articulate earth, environmental and sustainability sciences information through advanced written and oral communication.
