WELCOME CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS!

Thank you for visiting the Cal State East Bay Catalog.  The 2021-22 Beta Catalog you are viewing has been published so that current and prospective students can plan their schedule of courses for the fall semester.  At this point, the catalog is NOT considered official and some changes may occur between this initial, “beta version” publication and the official publication on July 1, 2021.  This catalog includes courses and policies approved and information provided on or before April 1, 2021. Subsequent approvals and information will be inserted into the catalog before official publication.

An Essential Guide to Earning Your Cal State East Bay Degree

Welcome to our university! We are proud to provide this catalog, a comprehensive overview of the vibrant and relevant degree and certificate programs currently granted by Cal State East Bay. You will see we offer more than 80 degrees at the bachelor’s and master’s level as well as 31 credential and certificate programs. We are proud to include a doctoral program in education with an emphasis in educational leadership.

Our mission is to provide access and opportunity for you to pursue your dream of a degree or certificate whether you are a first-time freshman right out of high school or a returning student continuing your education after many years away. You will find a home at Cal State East Bay and you will have a wealth of options for increasing your knowledge and skills, improving your career prospects and preparing you for success in a complex technological, diverse, global, multicultural world. Through our in-person, online, and hybrid options, you will find the flexibility you need for your life and learning style.

Courses and programs are designed and refined by faculty with input from alumni and employers in a given discipline to ensure relevance. Many courses incorporate real-world, hands-on, project-based, team-based, and community service activities. Cal State East Bay has campuses in Hayward and Concord, operates a professional development center in downtown Oakland and provides many fully online master’s degree programs and bachelor’s degree completion programs.
