Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Explain and apply essential terms in fire ecology, political ecology, and environmental governance;
2. Explain how historical and contemporary social and ecological policies affect Indigenous peoples, fire regimes, and ecological communities;
3. Explain how culture and worldview affect human behavior related to fire;
4. Apply and integrate social and ecological research methods to evaluate fire management decisions.
