A minor in mathematics is a great complement to any degree.  The minor requirements allow for a very flexible exploration of advanced mathematics while also including most of the standard lower division courses expected by employers hiring into fields that require quantitative and critical thinking.  Math minors acquire skills and knowledge that will help them in life, career, or applying for advanced or professional degrees.  Math minors can choose applied or pure math classes, or a mix, that align with their interests or their major requirements.
