MATH 215 - Introduction to Linear Algebra Units: 3 An introduction to linear algebra including systems of linear equations, vector spaces, matrices, linear transformations, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Focus will be on 2 and 3 dimensions, including geometric and other applications.
Prerequisites: MATH 130. Co-requisites: MATH 131. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of basic linear algebra.
- Apply basic linear algebra to solve real world problems.
- Communicate solutions to problems in basic linear algebra effectively.
