MATH 475 - Differential Equations II Units: 3 Systems of linear differential equations. Introduction to partial differential equations: the wave equation, the heat equation and Laplaces equation. Superposition principle. Methods of solving partial differential equations including separation of variables, Fourier transform and Laplace transform.
Prerequisites: MATH 375 with grade C- or better. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of differential equations.
- Apply differential equations to solve real world problems.
- Communicate solutions to problems in differential equations effectively.
