Introduction to speaking, understanding, reading and writing Persian (Farsi). A communicative approach to the acquisition of the language with emphasis on the appreciation of the culture, history, religion and geography of the Persian-speaking world. Prerequisites: MLL 1951 is prerequisite to MLL 1952 , or consent of instructor; MLL 1952 is prerequisite to MLL 1953 , or consent of instructor.
