The hydrologic cycle from precipitation, evapotranspiration, infiltration and runoff, to surface and groundwater. Hydrograph analysis, effects of human activities on streamflow and the riparian environment. Surface water and groundwater contamination and remediation methods. Predicted effects of climate change on water resources in California and the Western U.S. Prerequisites: GEOL 2101  or GEOL 2210  or equivalent; ENSC 2800  or ENSC 2801  or ENSC 2802  or equivalent; and CHEM 1011 or equivalent.
