Computer Science Minor

The Computer Science Minor is designed to provide basic proficiency in computer science and it  is intended for undergraduate students who expect computer science skills to be beneficial for their careers. This program provides a balance of theory and practical computer science skills designed to supplement the coursework of students from any major. Completing CS Minor provides a strong foundation in computer science.

Minor Requirements (20 units)


Lower Division Computer Science


Take the following 11 units:

Upper Division Computer Science


Take the following 3 units:

Computer Science Minor Electives


Students must take two (2) additional courses with the CS prefix numbered 300 and above for a minimum of 6 units.  Courses may NOT be the same as those already required in the minor.
