CS 661 - Advanced Artificial Intelligence Units: 3 Intelligence, rational agent design, state-spaces, search, heuristic functions and A*, game playing, knowledge representation, formal logic, reasoning, expert systems, machine learning paradigms including neural networks and genetic algorithms, introduction to Lisp and Scheme. Programming projects and review of literature.
Prerequisites: CS 411 or CS 611. Credit Restrictions: Computer Science M.S. or B.S. students only. Equivalent Quarter Course: CS 6810. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Author creative and robust programs in Lisp or Scheme. analyze the strengths and limitations of various state-space and heuristic search algorithms.
- Represent domain knowledge in propositional and first-order logic.
- Utilize probabilistic reasoning techniques to solve problems with incomplete or uncertain information.
- Apply machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
