Examination of the impact of victimization and trauma on childhood development. Emphasis on youth empowerment strategies; utilizes experiential learning that involves mentoring students, providing youth with information about community resources, and assisting youth with college applications and expectations. Repeatable for a maximum of 8 units. A grade of C (2.0) or higher is required for all courses to be counted toward the major.
