MATH 6251 - Symplectic Geometry Units: 4 Introduction to Symplectic Geometry. Symplectic linear algebra, groups, Lie algebras, and manifolds. Darboux-Weinstein theorem, relation to optics and Hamiltonian dynamics, moment maps, and geometric quantization. Prerequisites: MATH 3100 and MATH 3300 , or consent of instructor. A-F grading only.
