MATH 1110 - The Nature of Mathematics

Units: 4
This course is designed to introduce the student to mathematics as an art and mathematics as a tool, emphasizing the place of mathematics in today’s world. Will satisfy the general education requirement for non-majors. Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of Entry-Level Mathematics requirement. Must complete course with a grade of “C-” or better in order to earn General Education, Area B4, credit. Upper division mathematics and computer science majors will not receive credit for this course.
