GEOL 2102 - Earth and Life Through Time Units: 4 Principles of interpretation of earth history. Study of plate tectonics and sea-floor spreading as related to the development of continents, ocean basins, and mountain belts. Origin, evolution and diversification of life through time. Laboratory sessions include hands-on exercises with fossils. Prerequisites: GEOL 2101 or equivalent. Not open to students with credit for GEOL 3030. Three hrs. lect., 3 hrs. lab.; field trip(s).
