Return to: Majors & Academic Programs by Department
The goal of the Physics minor is to provide students in any major a highly flexible set of courses to learn more about their favorite or most passionate Physics topics. The minor is extremely flexible and students can select from a wide array of elective courses. Many of the lower division requirements are either the Algebra or Calculus based introductory sequence, required by many other majors in the Sciences. Students can then select which upper division courses are most intriguing to them, from learning about the beauty of Quantum Mechanics to more hands-on courses like the Advanced Experimental Physics Lab sequence where you can learn to design and run complex Physics research experiments. Please feel free to reach out to any Physics faculty to learn more about the Physics minor.
