Economics, BS + Business Analytics, MS [Blended 4+1]

Total Blended Program Units (BS + MS): 138

Description:
The Blended Economics, B.S.   and Business Analytics, M.S.   (4+1) program allows students to earn both degrees in an accelerated format. The BS in Economics provides rigorous analytical training, quantitative skills, and programming techniques to tackle a wide range of economic and policy issues. By blending this with the MS in Business Analytics, students also gain advanced knowledge and skills in data analytics, equipping them to apply analytics-driven solutions to business problems. This program enables students to complete both degrees in just five years, preparing them for data-intensive roles in business, economics, and beyond.

Double-Counted Courses:
Twelve units of the MSBA core requirements will be double-counted, replacing 12 units of BS Economics electives. The MSBA program includes two prerequisite courses, BAN 601 and BAN 602 (3 units each), which do not count towards the completion of the MSBA and will not be double-counted. The prerequisites for the double-counted courses will be completed by the time the student enrolls in them, as outlined in the Road Map attached to this proposal.
