Spanish Minor Requirements (15-28 units)

All minor students, regardless of lower-division exemptions will be required to complete a minimum of 15 units of CSUEB coursework.  See a Writing, Languages, and Literatures (WLL) Department advisor to determine the best path of coursework for you.

Lower Division Exemption or Coursework


All Spanish minor students are required to have an intermediate-level understanding of the Spanish language. Incoming students with prior experience with the Spanish language may have some or all of the Lower Division courses waived.  Students may also challenge any of the lower division courses by exam.  To determine which lower division coursework to take contact your Spanish advisor for exemption procedures and forms.

Upper Division Coursework


All Spanish minor students must take three (3) upper division courses for 12 units of advanced language coursework. Choose from the following:

Students must take one (1) course from the following list to complete the minimum required coursework of 15 units for the minor.  Choose from the following list:
