Minor Requirements (15 units)
The Health Policy minor provides a foundation and advanced instruction on the organization and financing of the U.S. healthcare system, as well as on the impact of state, local, and federal policies on the social determinants of population health. Students who complete the minor will be well prepared for careers and advanced study in the areas of health policy design, implementation, advocacy, and reform.
- Courses in a minor may be double-counted in G.E. However, at least 9-semester units of a minor must not be double-counted in the discipline of the major for Cal State East Bay to recognize the minor.
- Courses taken for CR/NC (credit/no credit) will not be counted toward the requirements of the Health Policy Minor
- Health Sciences, B.S. Health Policy Concentration majors can not declare this minor, but Health Sciences B.S. (no concentration) or Public Health, B.S. can. Students may not count any elective courses taken for the minor towards their major or concentration requirements.
