Spanish Minor

Minor Requirements (15-28 units)

Students may be exempt from lower division courses. Students may challenge elementary and intermediate courses by exam. Students who test out of the lower division courses will be required to take a fourth upper division course to meet the 15 unit minimum for the minor.

NOTE: Spanish minor students should take all courses for a letter grade.

Lower Division Core

Students who are not exempt must take four (4) of the following courses for 16 units:

MLL 141 - Elementary Spanish I Units: 4 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C2
MLL 142 - Elementary Spanish II Units: 4 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C1
OR MLL 146 - Beginning Spanish for Healthcare Professionals Units: 4
MLL 241 - Intermediate Spanish I Units: 4 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C2
MLL 242 - Intermediate Spanish II Units: 4
OR MLL 246 - Intermediate Spanish for Healthcare Professionals Units: 4

Upper Division Electives

Students who test out of the lower division courses will be required to take a fourth upper division course to meet the 15 unit minimum.
