MLL 151 - Elementary Japanese I Units: 4 ; G.E./G.R. Area: C2 The first semester of a one-year sequence. Develops four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing (Hiragana, Katakana and Basic Kanji) in modern Japanese. Emphasis on grammatical accuracy, socially appropriate language use, and cultural understanding.
Equivalent Quarter Course: MLL 1801 and MLL 1802. Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground, Entirely On-line, Hybrid (every section of this course may be taught both online and on-ground). Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). G.E./G.R. Area Satisfied: C2 - Lower Division Humanities
