ENGL 3001 - Writing for Proficiency for Non-Native Speakers of English Units: 4 Instruction in this course is geared toward the needs of non-native speakers of English. Regular practice in the writing skills necessary to reach the level of proficiency, determined by portfolio assessment, required for students to move forward to the next level writing course and satisfaction of the University Writing Skills Requirement (UWSR). Some students may demonstrate a level of proficiency in their portfolio to complete the UWSR at the end of ENGL 3001. Prerequisites: ENGL 1001 , or equivalent, and junior standing. Credit unavailable through challenge. Not for credit toward English major, English minor, Creative Writing minor, Liberal Studies major, or General Education requirements. Grading: CR/NC grading only.
