SW 325W - Writing in Social Work Units: 4; UWR This course will provide students with a generalist approach to writing mechanics and technical concepts required for use in various social work practice systems. Students will develop competence in the basics of social work assessment, policy analysis, and academic research.
Prerequisites: BSW Major. Students must have completed GE Area 1A and the second composition requirement. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate familiarity with various social work writing products at all levels of social work practice.
2. Produce both short- and long-form social work writing products.
3. Engage in basic social work engagement and assessment skills with individuals.
