NURS 620 - Complex Resource Management for Cost Effective Healthcare

This course examines organizational health delivery systems and complex resource management. Application of organizational, administrative, and economic strategies to maintain and advance practice standards.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Employ ethical decision-making in assessing, evaluating, and intervening in the challenges of assigning resources.
  2. Demonstrate effective leadership in analyzing cost-effective nursing interventions.
  3. Analyze financial primary and secondary data against relevant benchmarks.
  4. Compare/contrast cost-benefit analysis, cost-effective analysis, and cost-utility analysis.
  5. Participate in budget and strategic planning cycles within the patient care settings.
  6. Integrate resource management knowledge and basic financial principles in personal leadership roles.
