Using the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework and evidenced-based social-emotional learning strategies, candidates will develop intervention/action plans to support SEL development of the child(ren) in multiple learning environments. Prerequisites:

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Create an action plan incorporating observations and the CASEL core competencies of social and emotional learning for applying strategies and improving social skills.
2. Implement research-based SEL strategies with children in a learning situation.
3. Write a critical reflection on the implementation of the strategies chosen and comment on personal growth and development.
