SW 305 - Careers in Social Work Units: 2 Introduction to the major and to social work careers working with individuals, families, groups, and communities in a variety of settings.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Describe social work, including the values and ethics of the profession, key practice domains, and career options at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels.
- State the requirements for the BSW major and develop an individual plan for meeting them
- Assess personal strengths in the context of future social work career goals
- Commit to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in social work practice
