MATH 606 - Teaching and Course Design for the Quantitative College Classroom


Units: 1
Theory, methodology, and practical experience for teaching a university-level quantitative course as instructor-of-record. Includes discussion of teaching techniques, grading and assessment, engaging in a community of support and developing a teaching philosophy. Recommended for students interested in college teaching careers.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

1. Apply theories and methodologies of university mathematics teaching in the classroom.

2. Create, analyze and assess materials for the university mathematics classroom including group work, content presentation, assignments. and assessments.
