An overview of the growth of adventures sports and guidance on how to participate and the value of such activities.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop physical, social and psychological skills and abilities that promote life-long fitness, health, and wellness.
  2. Understand how the physical, social and psychological skills and abilities acquired through being physically active can be transferred and applied to other life domains.
  3. Be able to select behaviors that promote life-long fitness and healthy living.
  4. Understand the potential for physical activity to be a vehicle for promoting life-long personal and social responsibility.
