FIN 675 - Advanced Investment Techniques and Ethics Units: 3 Advanced analysis techniques of equities, fixed income, and alternative investments including the portfolio management process, ethics, and regulatory and professional standards.
Prerequisites: FIN 605 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Define the ethical choices and regulatory and professional standards related to portfolio management.
- Perform fixed income investment analysis including spot rate-based bond valuation, asset-backed security valuation, and credit analysis.
- Perform equity investment analysis including industry, financial statement, DuPont, and technical analysis and forecasting for valuation.
- Describe and compare various types of alternative investments.
- Describe the portfolio management process including the investment policy statement and performance evaluation measures.
