ART 493J - Art & Design Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce a body of creative work in their area of focus, reflecting mastery of materials, processes, and creative production skills that meet professional standards. Students prepare to transition to postgraduate life.
Prerequisites: BA Art major and Senior Standing Repeatability: Repeatable for credit up to maximum 6 units. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce a body of cohesive work at a professional level;
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of artistic or design practice;
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience;
- Become acquainted with the specific fundamentals of building a creative career.
- Plan and display their senior project to the public.
