CHEM 311 - Computers in Chemistry

Use of computers in data acquisition, data analysis, and data presentation, with an emphasis on problems of chemical interest.

Prerequisites: CHEM 112 and CHEM 112L, MATH 130
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Use an electronic spreadsheet to, import and export data, do complex calculations needed for data analysis, and present results using built-in graphing and charting capabilities
Use Python to develop scripts that can be used to import and analyze data, and report results.
Utilize peripheral devices to interface with chemical sensors.
