KIN 480 - Gender and Sexualities in Sport

The relationship between sex, gender, sexuality, and sport. Topics include sport and intersectionality, the body, and homophobia.

Prerequisites: KIN 302 or KIN 305 with a grade of C- or better.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Identify and analyze the links with sport and gender, sexuality, identity, and social justice.
Critically reflect on sport as it intersects with gender, sexuality, race, and class.
Analyze the ways sport and sport participants disrupt gender/sex binaries.
