SPAN 343 - Advanced Spanish Writing

Written Spanish to develop academic writing skills. Formal grammar applied to advanced writing. Focus on producing the types of texts required at the university level. Course taught in Spanish.

Strongly Recommended Preparation: SPAN 242 or equivalent
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous, or Online-Synchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Students  will be able to produce the types of writing required at the university level (description, narration, exposition/explanation, argumentation), with a fair amount of sophistication, integrating research information into written assignments while giving adequate credit to the sources of information used.
  2. Students will review grammar applied to composition while working in sentence structure and syntax.
  3. Students will acquired knowledge in the mechanics of writing: punctuation, paragraphing, orthography, stylistics, etc.
