ART 493D - 3D Art & Design Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce a capstone project of 3D art or design work reflecting mastery of creative, design, and fabrication skills and processes that parallel professional methods. Students prepare to transition to postgraduate life.
Prerequisites: B.F.A. major, senior standing. Co-requisites: ART 418. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce 3D art and/or design at a professional level;
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of 3D practice;
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience;
- Anticipate and plan a course of professional development, including interviews, grant applications, competition entries, and graduate school applications.
