KIN 380 - Games Concepts II Units: 3 Fundamental knowledge of skill acquisition and pedagogical methods for teaching nontraditional and outdoor games and sports. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Attain a basic knowledge of the California State Physical Education Standards as they relate to various activities and sports.
2. Demonstrate proficient movement skills in traditional, nontraditional and outdoor games and sports.
3. Design and teach activities in the areas of traditional, nontraditional and outdoor games and sports.
4. Be able to set specific and achievable goals based on individual abilities. 5. Be able to combine and apply movement patterns, simple to complex, in traditional, nontraditional and outdoor games and sports.
6. Design an assessment for application of movement concepts as they relate to field and team sports/activities.
7. Design and deliver lessons based on effective teaching practices.
8. Students will be able to articulate the importance of a commitment to life-long physical activity.
