Units:1 This laboratory course is designed to introduce students to health and physical assessment skills needed to provide safe and effective nursing care in all healthcare settings across the life span.
Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing major. Co-requisites: NURS 312. Credit Restrictions: Repeated course may not count toward Major requirements.

Demonstrate history-taking and interviewing skills necessary for comprehensive data collection.
Demonstrate beginning level skill in the techniques of physical exam.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal assessment findings.
