Introduction to time-based digital media production. Topics include storytelling, user and viewer interaction, editing with contemporary digital tools, and the role of critique and revision in the digital process.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- apply the elements and principles of design in finished time-based digital works, including still and moving image editing, sound and image relations, and object and event analysis;
- create a portfolio of time-based digital work demonstrating formal, conceptual, and technical development;
- examine and describe contemporary approaches and aesthetics of emerging time-based digital media;
- collaborate with peers in the development and execution of a video, sound or digital storytelling project;
- evaluate and critique digital images and time-based works utilizing relevant terminology and concepts.
