TED 577 - Seminar 1 Units: 1 Exploration of the roles and responsibilities as an Early Childhood Education professional including best practices to foster family and community partnerships. Introduction to the edTPA, cohort, and the university.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Candidates will reflect on the role of an Early Childhood Education Professional and how to connect with students and their families in a PK-3 setting.
- Candidates will identify the Teacher Performance Expectations (TPEs) and edTPA (Education Teacher Performance Assessment) requirements for obtaining a PK-3 Education Specialist Credential.
- Candidates wil engage in activities to build community between themselves and other cohort members and become aware of CSUEB university services.
