TED 584A - Student Teaching 1 Units: 3 Candidates will be placed with a qualified cooperating teacher/district mentor or be the teacher of record to plan, implement and reflect on lessons based on Foundations, Frameworks and Standards for children in PK-3.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: CR/NC grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Develop and teach lessons based on CA Preschool Foundations and Frameworks, as well as CCSS pertaining to early childhood education
- Develop proficiency in the California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).
- Reflect on their teaching practices to develop as a professional educator.
- Implement research-based practices for the development of young children.
