TED 599 - Professionalism and Technology in PK-3 Units: 2 Advocacy for PK-3 professionals and exploration of current practices in technology that prepare and promote a developmentally appropriate balance between physical and digital practices and technology’s relationship to early childhood pedagogy.
Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Investigate and collaboratively construct advocacy practices with the use of technology, that enable and encourage teacher agency and collaborations as a PK-3 professional.
- Discover ways to support PK-3 careers as a professional through the partnership of children and families in their care, the relationships with their colleagues and administrators, and their role in their community.
- Integrate digital citizenship skills as it applies to young children and its relationship with social emotional learning and development.
