This course is designed for registered nurses to build on previous experience and to enhance clinical assessment skills with an emphasis on health promotion for clients with chronic diseases.

NURS Majors Only

NURS 361

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Demonstrate competence in comprehensive physical and mental health assessment.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal data and interpret data findings.
Understand different/varying health assessment presentations across the lifespan and for diverse populations.
Demonstrate proficiency in use of health assessment and health promotion tools.
Demonstrate strategies to assess for readiness in clients in adopting and sustaining health behaviors.
