BAN 675 - Text Analytics and Generative Artificial Intelligence


Units: 3
 

Covers basic natural language processing techniques, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, social media analytics, and business applications of text-based generative artificial intelligence.

Prerequisites: All of: BAN 601, BAN 602, BAN 620.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Represent unstructured text documents in a way that supports text mining algorithms.
  2. Extract thematic structures and subjective information from text documents and generate visual representation using mathematical and programming tools.
  3. Build and utilize language model based generative artificial intelligence applications.
  4. Utilize text mining techniques and social network characteristic measures to perform social influence analysis and social media analysis.
