BAN 675 - Text Analytics and Generative Artificial Intelligence Units: 3
Covers basic natural language processing techniques, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, social media analytics, and business applications of text-based generative artificial intelligence.
Prerequisites: All of: BAN 601, BAN 602, BAN 620. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Represent unstructured text documents in a way that supports text mining algorithms.
- Extract thematic structures and subjective information from text documents and generate visual representation using mathematical and programming tools.
- Build and utilize language model based generative artificial intelligence applications.
- Utilize text mining techniques and social network characteristic measures to perform social influence analysis and social media analysis.
