PHIL 301 - Modern Logic Units: 3 Advanced course in symbolic logic. Modern logic is more powerful than traditional Aristotelean logic, symbolization covering a greater range of inferences. Modern logic includes results such as Godel’s incompleteness theorem, no system of logic can prove all mathematical truths.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (greater than 60 earned semester units) and completion of lower division Area C requirements; and PHIL 100. Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3 and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently

- Students will be able to write and express themselves clearly, and with academic rigor
