KIN 306 - Exercise Physiology

The physiological parameters and mechanisms that determine human physiological adaptations in response to exercise and physical activity. Lecture Units: 3; Lab Units: 1.

Prerequisites: B.S. Kinesiology major, KIN 300, KIN 301.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

To develop an understanding of the adaptations of human work capacity and performance.
To understand the role that various physiological systems play in determining human ability to perform acute and chronic exercise and physical activity.
To develop skills in presenting current understandings in written form (laboratory reports and abstracts) and on exams (objective).
To examine specific phenomenon in a laboratory setting and statistically analyze these observations.
To present findings from laboratory experience in written form and explain results by making use of theoretical concepts learned in lecture.
