MUS 369C - Jazz Singers

Small vocal ensemble focusing on repertoire for chamber choir, mixed voices, that is drawn from jazz, pop, and world traditions. Auditions required.

Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 4 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).

Sing, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music from the jazz and popular traditions.
Improvise in the jazz tradition.
Read and notate music.
Listen to, analyze, and describe music in the jazz tradition.
