EPSY 644 - Pre-Practicum Microcounseling Skills in Relational Practice II

Development of the counselor’s ability to influence others. Use of brief videotaped counseling sessions (“microcounseling”). Students will role-play to observe, analyze, and evaluate techniques of counseling.

Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.

Intermediate skills & techniques related to develop the therapeutic relationship in counseling.

Demonstrate the common problems and patterns of problematic interactions clients bring to therapy.
