ENVT 493 - Environmental Projects Units: 3 Original project-based research on an environmental issue, working under faculty guidance as an individual and in groups.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: ENVT 330, and ENVT 307 or ENVT 380. Prerequisites: ENVT 225, ENVT 310, ENVT 320. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous, or Online-Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Develop a research plan to address an environmental issue, articulating a suitable goal, objectives, and research methods.
- Investigate the issue applying quantitative and/or qualitative methods appropriate to the issue.
- Synthesize the results into an appropriate sets of conclusions and recommendations.
- Conduct research successfully as an individual and as a member of a group.
- Communicate the results of that research in a professional manner.
