ITM 440 - Business Intelligence Systems Units: 3 Advanced information technologies that extract non-trivial, actionable, and novel knowledge from data to achieve organizational strategic goals. Topics include multidimensional data modeling, online analytic processing, data warehouse, and data mining.
Prerequisites: ITM 300, ITM 330. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Design and develop a data warehouse to serve as a business intelligence platform;
- Apply data mining techniques to support business intelligence;
- Utilize information systems to generate business intelligence for strategic decision making.
