- Distinguish primary sources from secondary works.
- Identify scholarly sources using the University Library.
- Distinguish among summary, paraphrase, and direct quotation.
- Apply the Chicago-style citation system consistently.
- Demonstrate familiarity with archives, both physical and digital.
- Demonstrate systematic cataloging of source materials.
- Evaluate historical arguments.
- Present historical findings through oral projects.
- Plan for completion of the major or minor in history, along with career preparation, certificates, and internships.
