Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Interview news subjects according to the norms of professional journalism;
- Research background and context to issues, people and events in the news, with emphasis on diverse publics;
- Write basic hard news stories in inverted pyramid format for web, broadcast, and print;
- Create simple multimedia elements such as listicles and basic graphics.
